Why a parent built this

I got tired of games treating my kids like targets

Like every parent, I handed my phone over on long car journeys. And like every parent, I watched what came back: adverts every ninety seconds, adverts for games that don't exist, "limited time offers" engineered to make a seven-year-old beg, and lives that run out just when it gets fun — unless somebody pays.

Here's the thing though: the games themselves are brilliant. Simple, one-thumb, beat-your-own-score games have delighted kids (and, be honest, adults) for forty years. The games were never the problem. The business model was.

So I made the container I wished existed. Twenty of the most-loved mini game ideas, rebuilt from scratch with original characters, inside one app with the old-fashioned deal: you buy it once, and then it's yours.

— Dave, dad and maker of Sticker Book Arcade

Made for real life

For the moments every parent knows

🚗

The long car journey

Works in airplane mode, in the Highlands, in the tunnel. There is no server — so there's no signal to lose and no "reconnecting…" meltdown at junction 12.

🍝

The dinner's-in-the-oven twenty minutes

Hand it over without hovering. There's nothing to buy, nobody to chat with, and no link that leads anywhere. The worst that can happen is a new high score.

🪑

The waiting room

Quiet games, sound off, haptics on. Gentle "so close!" endings instead of klaxons — calm for them, calm for the room.

The family scoreboard

One phone. Six players. Zero mercy.

Up to six named players on one device, each with their own high scores and trophy shelf. Finish a run and the family scoreboard is right there — with a crown on whoever holds the record.

It turns a solo time-filler into the household competition: beat Dad's Noodles score, defend your Twofold crown, settle it in the back seat.

All scores stay on the phone. No accounts, no online leaderboards, no strangers — the only people your kids compete with are the ones at your dinner table.

The price of peace of mind

Less than a coffee. Yours forever.

From the grown-ups

What families say

Three hours to Cornwall, one phone, two kids, zero arguments about someone 'accidentally' buying gems. I checked the settings twice because I couldn't believe there were no ads.

🚗Parent of two, 6 & 9

My daughter plays Noodles against her grandad every Sunday. He says it's 'just like the one on my old Nokia' — highest praise he has.

☎️Mum & grandad household

I bought it for the kids and now I'm the one defending my Twofold crown at 11pm. £2.99 is daylight robbery — in our favour.

Sensible questions

Grown-up FAQ

Is it really ad-free, or "ad-free-ish"?

Really. There is no advertising code inside the app at all — not switched off, not dormant, simply not there. The same goes for in-app purchase code. It can't show you an ad or sell you a gem because the machinery doesn't exist.

What data do you collect about my child?

None. The app works entirely on your phone — scores, player names and settings never leave the device. There are no accounts, no analytics trackers and nothing to sign up for. Our privacy policy is genuinely one sentence long.

Can my kids talk to strangers in it?

No. There's no chat, no online multiplayer, no friend lists and no way to see or contact anyone outside your household. The family scoreboard is local to your phone.

What ages is it for?

Rated PEGI 3 and listed in the kids' sections of both stores. In practice: the tap games suit little ones from about five, the puzzles stretch tweens, and the classics corner is there for the grown-ups and grandparents.

Will you add more games? Will they cost extra?

New games arrive as free updates — and we only announce a game after it's live, never before. The Arcade never shows a locked tile or a "coming soon" teaser.

Six kids, one phone — how do scores work?

Add up to six players, each with a name and animal avatar. Everyone keeps their own high scores and trophy shelf, and every game shows the family scoreboard at the end of a run.

Hand over the phone. Keep the peace of mind.

Twenty games your kids will love and you don't have to supervise — for less than the coffee you'll drink while they play.
